Welcome to Oak Lodge
Oak Lodge School is a special academy managed by Barnet Special Education Trust.
For the academy year 2024-25, we are funded for 200 places for students aged 11-19 with a wide range of learning difficulties. We are currently oversubscribed.
The quality of our Autism practice has been awarded Advanced Status by the Autism Accreditation Award Committee of the National Autistic Society and we have also been judged ‘Outstanding’ in three successive OFSTED inspections, both as a maintained school and as an academy. A copy of the latest inspection report is available here. You may also link to our DfE Performance Tables Information.
The school site is highly accessible and able to include young people with physical disabilities in all its learning. We work hard to ensure that all members of the school feel safe and acquire high levels of self-esteem. Students can expect to follow a curriculum relevant to their needs, with increased opportunities for the development of social skills. Staff are totally committed to providing the best possible education for all; assessing each individual’s level of development and enabling them to make progress at their own pace to fulfil their unique potential. If you are considering Oak Lodge for your son or daughter, it is important that you come to see us in action. Please make an appointment at any time. We welcome visitors throughout the year.
